Imaging

In my web development class I learned how to use graphics. On this page I have graphics from different sources. One from a digital camera, one that was scanned, one from the internet, and one I created in Fireworks.

This is a picture I took with a digital camera. I then transferred the photo from the disk to the computer where I made it into a jpg file using Fireworks. I also made the image smaller so it would download faster on the internet. Click the image to see citation.

click for actual size This is a picture I scanned into the computer. When scanning an image it is important to line up your picture correctly. You don't want your image to be upside down. With scanning, you can manipulate an image without damaging the original photograph. I also have this image in black and white. You can see it here. Click the image on the left to see the citation.
click for actual size This is an image I got from the internet. One thing to remember when using images from the internet is that most images from the web are copyrighted. You can't use graphics that are copyrighted on your web site without the permission of the artist or copyright holder. It is important to cite all sources. To visit the site where I got this image click here. Click the image to see the citation.
blue fish This is an image I created in Fireworks. This image started out as a grid with straight lines drawn on it. I dragged the lines until they looked the way I wanted them to look. Because it is not good to use pngs on the web, I had to turn this image into a gif image. Click the image to see the citation.
